starting the year off right ..
.. with another phenomenal UKI trial hosted by Casa De Canine Agility at All Star Dog Sports! I was so stoked to see so many familiar faces from last year, but also a fresh crop of new dogs just learning the ropes. Even I had a chance to run Alfie through a fun run! I can't help but hope we might be able to enter a class or two next time.
It felt great to finally get back behind the Z9 after my little winter break, and I can't help but feel like that last firmware upgrade really DID improve auto-focus a little bit -- I'm wondering if Nikon AF Department finally hired someone who has actually seen a dog with their eyes. Definitely felt like it was locking better on the eye, but maybe I just hadn't shot agility in so long it just felt sticky. Either way, I'm looking forward to another year of magic with my little workhorse (crap Nikon customer service be damned 🙃)
